Heat Advisory in Effect as Temperatures Soar

The hot and humid days of summer continue to sizzle with a Heat Advisory through 7 p.m.

Current Feels Like temperatures range from 102 to 111 degrees. Another Heat Advisory will be in effect Wednesday from noon - 7 p.m., with possible Heat Advisories on Thursday.

Our daily dousing of showers and thunderstorms will be limited to isolated to scattered activity mainly between 2 p.m. And 10 p.m. Locally heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind remain the storm hazards.

Speaking of storms, it looks like we could have a short-lived Tropical Depression or Storm later this week. Wednesday: Hot and humid. Heat Advisory noon - 7 p.m. Heat indices up to 110 degrees. Isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m., 20-30 percent. Wake up temperatures in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Wind: W 5-10 mph.

Thursday - Friday: The heat continues with possible heat advisories. Lows in the 70s, highs in the mid to upper 90s inland, upper 80s to 90s along the beaches. Wind: WSW 5 -10 mph.

Looking ahead: The heat and humidity linger with temperatures hovering near advisory levels this weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible.
