JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man was killed after being trapped between a semi-cab truck and a power lift system in Mixon Town on Tuesday.
JSO said the accident took place at 10 Stockton Street at the Absolute Truck Repair building.

At 10 a.m., officers arrived and found a male employee lying next to a heavy-duty vehicle lift system with extensive injuries. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue arrived and said the man died at the scene.
JSO said the man was working on a semi-cab truck, which was being placed onto a power lift system. At some point, the semi-cab truck shifted, causing it to fall and trap the man between the lift system and the semi-cab.
Investigators are on scene working with the Medical Examiner’s Office and OSHA.
