For fans of the chocolate and peanut butter combo, the new twist might be a shock, but for peanut butter lovers, the new version may be perfect. Tesla — Shares of the electric carmaker popped 1.6% after an SEC filing showed Tesla bought $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin. The company said it bought the bitcoin for "more flexibility to further diversify and maximize returns on our cash," according to the filing. Tesla also said it would start accepting payments in bitcoin in exchange for its products as well. Hasbro – Shares of the toy maker slid about 3% despite the company beating top and bottom line estimates during the fourth quarter. Hershey tracked Covid trends after seeing s'mores demand rise as cases grew, CEO says
Hershey is seeing strong demand for its chocolates and seasonal candies as people are cooped up inside their homes, searching for every small occasion to celebrate. One notable example, was a trend Hershey spotted that as coronavirus cases spiked around the country, demand for s'mores ingredients rose. No doubt, families were seeking pleasure by setting up barbecues in their backyards and roasting s'mores by the fire. Hershey said its chocolate sales were 40% to 50% higher in areas with an increased number of Covid-19 cases than areas that were lower. Hershey shares closed Thursday up less than 1% at $147.22 after reporting its fourth-quarter sales rose 5.7% to $2.19 billion.cnbc.com

Duval County School Board signs off on search for possible new headquarters
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Duval County Public Schools board voted unanimously in favor of a measure, brought by member Lori Hershey, to explore the relocation of the district’s waterfront headquarters on the Southbank. The vote was taken Tuesday night, more than a week after the board discussed the proposal in a workshop. My preference, particularly in leadership, is to be in the driver’s seat versus responding,” Hershey said in the workshop. With approval secured, the measure allows for the formal discussions to begin and for Superintendent Diana Greene to begin exploration and the drafting of a proposal. That proposal will likely be presented at a board meeting in March, according to Hershey.

Uber (UBER) – Uber reported a quarterly loss of 62 cents per share, 3 cents a share smaller than analysts had forecast. Duval County 6th-graders back in classrooms full time

Hybrid learning will come to an end for seventh and eighth graders next Monday and for high school students will return to school buildings on Sept. 28. Duval County School Board member Lori Hershey said the district has received mixed reaction to converting from a hybrid of online and in-person teaching to full-time education back in the classroom. Not only do the children need to be in school to not fall behind, but the district needs the money. “Schools and school districts are allocated based on student attendance, so the more students we have in our classrooms and enrolled in our schools, the more money that comes into the district,” Hershey said.
Parent group calls for Duval public schools to require masks & postpone school year
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A newly formed group is calling on Duval County Public Schools to require masks in buildings, postpone the school year until after the Republican National Convention and many other changes to the district’s reopening plan. The congregation of parents and stakeholders from around the Duval County School District formed the Duval Schools Pandemic Solutions Team on Friday and brought a litany of concerns to the school board during its special meeting Tuesday morning. On Tuesday, the School Board agreed to spend more than $4 million through the district’s COVID-19 fund to purchase and install 120,000 desk partitions.
