The fifth annual Super Girl Surf Festival will return to Jacksonville Beach this weekend with more than 2,000 women competing in 12 sports.

Saturday was the second day of the Super Girl Surf Pro competition in Jacksonville Beach.

The Super Girl Surf Pro competition returned to the beach as surfers hit the waves on Friday.

The event is free to spectators and will also feature a festival, food and concert.

Super Girl Surf Pro returns to Jax Beach for the 3rd year and is proud to bring the largest female sports event and festival.

The Super Girl Surf Pro competition at Jacksonville Beach went strong Saturday, despite some wondering if Hurricane Nicole would affect the contest schedule.

Established in 2007 as a showcase for women in action sports, the Super Girl Pro Series is the only large-scale all-women’s action sports, esports and lifestyle series in the world.  Developed as a celebration of female strength and empowerment, the platform has grown into a series of five incredible festivals centered around providing social, athletic, cultural, educational, business, and entertainment opportunities for young women in areas where they are traditionally underrepresented.
