A fire and explosion at a convenience store in northwestern Mexico have killed at least 23 people, including children, and injured 12 others.

A 56-year-old Clay Electric Cooperative employee died Tuesday evening while working in a bucket truck on Northeast 54 Street in Alachua County.

WALDO, Fla. – A mother of eight died and another victim was critically wounded after a shooting at a block party with hundreds of people in Alachua County early Sunday morning. According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post, deputies responded to calls of gunfire on Northeast 150th Avenue in Waldo around 3 a.m. where between 400 and 500 cars and people were gathered in the roadway for the large block party. Deputies eventually evacuated the woman from the crowd into a patrol car to be taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries. The victim was identified as Natisha Covert, 36, a mother of eight children. STARKE, Fla. – Authorities searching for a missing 2-year-old girl from Waldo said she was found safe in Starke on Monday. Christine Martin was believed to be with Robert Martin, 49, and Jennifer Goode, 26, according to a missing child alert issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. A Facebook post on the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office page was updated to say the child had been located. “The child appears fine and is currently with law enforcement officials in Starke,” the post read.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's dog has died. The newlyweds' beloved Waldo was hit by a car in New York City earlier this week, TMZ reports. Waldo was the brother of the couple's other dog, Porky, who Jonas got Turner as a surprise. Little Porky got to be part of Jonas and Turner's second wedding in France.
