Officers responded around 4 p.m. to a ShotSpotter call in the area of West 23rd Street near Wilson Street. Police said they found a man lying in the street with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - One man is dead and at least four others are in the hospital Thursday following a reported street fight that spread across the Brentwood neighborhood in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. When officers arrived, they found a young man dead inside a home on Pearl Street, Silcox said. Nearby, on West 23rd Street, a man was also found with stab wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, Silcox said. He described Burt as a humble young man who loved his family.
