Cops: Times Square Spider-Man punches officer

Street performer gets testy after demanding money for photo,

A street performer dressed as Spider-Man is accused of punching a police officer in New York's Times Square.

Junior Bishop, 25, got testy after the officer scolded him for demanding more money from a couple he had posed for a picture with, Reuters reported.

The woman gave him a $1 bill, but he refused it, demanding more.

According to police, the officer told Bishop he could only accept tips and not ask for money.

Bishop began arguing with the officer, and punched the officer in the face when told he was under arrest, police said.

Bishop is now charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
