Santa Claus came early for one Australia family this Christmas.
A firefighter dressed as Santa for a local fundraiser came to the rescue of an unconscious man trapped in a burning home in Rutherford, ABC reported.
The Telarah fire crew was handing out candy to children on their annual Christmas drive when they saw smoke coming from the house Saturday afternoon.
The crew swung into action, including firefighter Nick Carey, who was dressed as Santa.
A man in his 20s was found unresponsive inside. Crews dragged him out, and Carey performed first aid until an ambulance arrived.
The fire victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was in stable condition Monday.
