Subaru is recalling 77,000 Tribeca SUVs due to a defective hood latch that can open unexpectedly while driving. The recall affects 2006 - 2014 models.
A Subaru spokesperson said the company has no records of crashes related to this issue, Automotive News reports.

The recall will occur in two phases with the final repair parts available later this year, Subaru stated in its letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Nissan recently issued a similar recall for a latch defect on 846,000 Altima cars.
