Real Sugar Chek Cola Marinated Chicken Legs



1 package Chicken Legs – 5 – 6 legs

1 can Real Sugar Chek Cola

½ Sweet Onion – diced

¼ C Brown Sugar

2 T Ketchup

1 T Mustard

1 T Worcester Sauce

1 t Onion Powder

1 t Kosher Salt

1 t Course Ground Pepper

3 T Butter



1.     Blend onion, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcester, onion powder, salt and pepper together.  Blend in 1 can of Real Sugar Chek Cola

2.     Place chicken legs in baking dish and pour marinade over legs.  Marinate for up to 4 hours.

3.     Remove legs from pan and place on paper towel to drain.  Pour marinade into a pan and heat on medium high heat.  Reduce by ¾.  Remove from heat and incorporate 3 T of butter into reduction.

4.     Prepare outside grill or preheat grill pan to medium high heat indoors.  Place chicken legs on grill/grill pan and cook ½ way, about 7 minutes.  Continually baste legs with reduction until chicken is fully cooked to 165 degrees.
