JACKSONVILLE, Fla - – Twitter announced on Thursday that a new mobile service called Vine will be released, according to Mashable. Vine will allow users to create and share looping videos.
"Like Tweets, the brevity of videos on Vine (6 seconds or less) inspires creativity," the company said in an official blog post. "Now that you can easily capture motion and sound, we look forward to seeing what you create."

The service is currently only available for iOS phones. The stop motion style videos can include as many scenes that you can fit in. Once you are finished with the video, it can be shared only on Vine, or you can share it with your friends on Twitter...and allegedly Facebook.
It's still in the early stages, so the service won't be without some bugs to work out. For example, sharing the videos can only be done during initial upload so if you forget to select the Twitter button when you upload your video, your followers will not see the video.
Sound is also recorded along with each video clip. That's not such a big deal if you are in a quiet location, but when in loud, more noisy locations the sound can be choppy and jarring for the viewers.
And then, of course, there is the sibling rivalry going on between Twitter and Facebook. Within hours of it's launch, Facebook blocked Vine from being able to access your friends lists according to Mashable.
With a little fleshing out, and some communication with all social media platforms, Vine could be a fantastic addition to the world..,.and give another video creating app, Viddy, a run for it's money.
