Drivers are feeling fresh sticker shock at the pump as the Iran conflict disrupts global supply, pushing oil past $100 a barrel and gas above $4 a gallon.
And analysts warn it could climb even higher.
As we head into the weekend, we are checking on our local averages compared to the national average, which hit $4.11 a gallon on Friday morning.
In Florida, that is slightly lower at $3.98, and where you fill up does matter.
Taking a look at AAA’s Gas Price Index, most of our local counties are in line with the state average.
Duval and St. Johns counties are averaging $3.98 a gallon of regular. In the surrounding counties, it’s a little higher at $4 in Nassau and Flagler counties.

We also found some of the lowest prices in the area, county by county, according to Gas Buddy.
In Duval, the Sun Express on Atlantic Boulevard shows $3.58.
Clay and St. Johns counties’ lowest prices are a little higher.
In Nassau, Putnam, and the Macclenny areas, the lowest prices we’re seeing are around $3.79.
