Swift is the brother-in-law of former Officer Karl Waldon, who was sentenced last week to a life sentence for crimes including the murder of a northside businessman.
Swift pleaded guilty and testified against Waldon, saying he helped the officer kidnap and rob Sami Safar as he left a bank with $51,000 to be used to cash checks at his convenience stores.
