2 Sentenced For Execution-Style Murders

Westside Couple Killed In Front Of Own Children In 2008

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The two people who murdered a Westside couple and shot the couple's 3-year-old son in execution-style killings in 2008 were sentenced Tuesday.

Derrick Goldson was given three life sentences without parole, and his accomplice Jessica Delancy, who testified against him, will spend 48 years in prison for killing Reginald and Keiyoda Williams in front of their children. One of the Williams' children was grazed by a bullet intended for his mother.

Both avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty.

Just after the sentences were read, a man was thrown out of the courtroom for yelling at the judge, who told Goldson he'll never be a free man again.

"You will not be released from prison. You will die in prison," the judge said.

In court Tuesday, the prosecutor talked about the brutality of crime and how Goldson went back and shot Keiyoda Williams again, making sure she was dead, while she pleaded for her life.

Family members of the Williams' took the stand and talked about how the murders changed so many lives.

"He was a good young man," said Jolynn Parrott, Reginald Williams' niece. "He cared about family and friends and other people more than he cared about himself. Unfortunately, he befriended somebody that just didn't care about his life."
