Charles Pearce, 30, is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 42-year-old Mike McCue in the driveway of McCue's home.

Pearce was arrested in Arizona more than a week after the killing. He did not fight extradition, and was brought back to Duval County last month.

Pearce is also charged with attempted murder in connection with a separate shooting about a block away from where McCue was killed. Police said Pearce initially fired a shot at his stepfather, but missed him.

Not long after, McCue was shot and killed outside his home, one block away.

Pearce's next court date is May 2.
