Wedding Purse Thief Sought In Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in identifying a man wanted in a recent grand theft case.

Deputies said the man seen in surveillance photos stole a purse from the unlocked car of a woman attending a wedding reception.

Investigators said the man stole the woman's purse last Saturday evening at the Plantation Oaks Athletic Center.

The surveillance photos were taken at locations where detectives believe the man used the woman's stolen credit cards, including at a BP gas station in Middleburg, a Walmart on Branan Field Road in Middleburg, a Hess station on Argyle Forest Boulevard in Orange Park and a Sonic restaurant on 103rd Street in Jacksonville.
