MAD DADS march after elderly man's killing

Son found 82-year-old dad beaten to death in home last month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Men Against Destruction Defending Against Drugs and Social Disorder (MAD DADS) held a walk Thursday night for an 82-year-old man who was found dead inside his home in June.

The nonprofit organization along with George Davis' family, went door to door handing out fliers that read "Breaking The Code Of Silence." The fliers were being passed out as an effort to find Davis' killer.

Davis was found beaten to death inside his Woodstock Park home in June. Police are still looking for suspects and a motive to the killing.

George Davis

Police said there was a lot of blood in the home. They said there did not appear to be forced entry into the house.

Vincent Davis, George's son, said the death of his father has been difficult.

"Just not knowing why," Vincent Davis said. "I'm just eager to catch this individual."

The Davis family says the hardest part is not knowing who the killer is and knowing that person  is still out on the streets.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for help in solving this crime. If you know anything about this murder, please call Crimestoppers (1-866-845-TIPS).
