JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It's an effort to support families who are hoping their loved ones will be found once again.
On Friday morning, the city of Jacksonville, the Justice Coalition and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office remembered those accounted for on what has been dubbed Missing Adult Day.

Some of these men and women have been missing for months. For others, it's been years since their loved ones have seen them.
Ten families were represented during a ceremony at city hall. Among them were friends and families of Mark Degner and Bryan Hayes. Two teens who went missing eight years ago after walking away school.
"We are holding out all hope that everything is positive from the case," said Pamela Lantrell, Degner's aunt. "It's been eight years and there has been no leads on the case whatsoever. So we are at a standstill on it. We had a chance to talk to detectives on it. There are no leads on our case. Somebody has to know something."
Sheriff John Rutherford said at the event police will never stop looking for those who are missing. He said it's important to find them and find out what happened to them.
