Information sought in hit-and-run crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is trying to obtain information on a person involved in a hit-and-run crash on Baymeadows Road near Interstate 295 the morning of June 26.

A white pickup struck a bicyclist, causing possible injuries to the rider, state troopers said. They said the truck stopped, assisted the rider, removed the bicycle from the roadway, and talked with the rider.

Troopers said the driver then left the scene to an unknown destination.

The white truck was described as a late model utility truck with a box-style bed and full length ladder rack permanently attached.

The driver was described as a White or Hispanic man.
