Horse ride to benefit charity

Hope Therapy holding 3rd annual beach ride

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – Hope Therapy, Inc. is holding its 3rd Annual Beach Ride Benefit, "A Day For Hope," to fund scholarships for therapy patients and pay for upkeep of the therapy horses.

The event is Sunday, October 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kelly Seahorse Ranch in Amelia Island State Park.

There will be BBQ, music, fun and games.  The BBQ dinner starts at 3 p.m. and is $10 per plate.

Nashville recording artist Lauren Elise will also perform.

Riders who raise a minimum of $500 will be awarded a one hour Amelia Island beach ride.  Prizes will be given to the three highest fund raisers.

Hope Therapy is the only premiere accredited therapy facility in the Jacksonville area that offers equine assisted activities and therapies for children and adults with physical, mental, psychological, social, behavioral and sensory motor disabilities.

Hope Therapy is working with the Wounded Warrior Project to provide equine-assisted therapies for our returning local veterans who have been wounded and/or suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
