Remains found in Sanford during search for bodies
Bones found not that of missing mom, children
SANFORD, Fla. – Police have a new mystery on their hands after remains were found in a field during a search for a missing woman and her children.
Volusia County deputies said one of their K-9 units found the remains in Sanford at State Road 17-92 and State Road 417.
Deputies said the dog was assisting in the search for the bodies of Yessenia Suarez and her children when the remains were found. Authorities told WKMG-TV that these remains were not those of Suarez or her 8- and 9-year-old children (pictured, below).
Sanford police said the remains were essentially just bones.
Police said the next step is to wait on the Medical Examiner to do an autopsy so they can figure out whose remains they are.
So far, detectives cannot connect these remains to any unsolved or missing person's cases because they just don't have enough info.
