JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Children's Home Society of Florida kicked of the 30th annual "Caring Chefs" event at the Avenues Mall Sunday.
The Local Station is a proud sponsor of Caring Chefs.

The event is an opportunity to help raise money for children in Northeast Florida, and help fill the bellies of generous donors.
Restaurants and businesses showcased their favorite dishes on both floors of the Avenues Mall. People dipped and dabbed, tasting a wide selection of food.
"I think it's incredible," said Althea Squire, who came out to the event. "Home Society -- I just think it's a wonderful way to give back."
Everything from local and big name restaraunts took part, like Ruth's Chris and Bistro AIX. Fruit, dessert, seafood, chocolate and live entertainment were all part of the event.
