JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering at Shands Hospital with life threatening injuries after a hit and run incident on the Northside.
When officers arrived to the 1600 block of Broward Rd., the man was on the side of road with leg, shoulder and head injuries.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says he was hit by a truck while attempting to walk southbound across Broward Road.
The truck left the scene at the time of the accident, but later returned to the scene.
JSO Traffic Homicide is investigating.
