JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking into a report that a man was shot during an attempted robbery.
According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a 32-year-old man called police from the hospital. An officer met with him at UF Health Jacksonville.

The man told police two individuals tried to rob him near Silver Street and West 23rd Street in Brentwood. He says during the robbery, one of the individuals pulled out a gun.
He tried to swat the gun out their hands. At that point the gun went off, and the shot grazed his ankle.
Officers say they haven't been able to find the crime scene based on the man's description. No word from police if the man was able to give a description of the attackers.
Police say the man drove himself to the hospital.
