I-95 southbound reopens after wrecks, lumber spill

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Southbound traffic is flowing again on I-95 near downtown Jacksonville after two different overturned vehicles an hour apart kept lanes closed the first half of Tuesday. 

A tractor-trailer carrying a load of lumber overturned mid-morning near the intersection of I-95 and Myrtle Avenue. The mess blocked all through southbound lanes were blocked until about 1 p.m.

This happened about an hour after a car southbound on I-95 at Union Street struck a sign and overturned, blocking one lane of the interstate and an exit ramp.

There was no information about whether either accident caused any injuries.
