Homicide investigators determined Kebede (pictured below) met D'On Jackson and Ronald Hardwick III for a marijuana deal and the three were in his car when a fight broke out. According to court records, a witness saw Jackson get out of the car and shoot Kebede.
Both Hardwick and Jackson were arrested in June.
Jackson, 20, is charged with second-degree murder and armed robbery. Hardwick, 21, is charged with third-degree murder and armed robbery.
Kebede moved to Florida from Ethiopia 14 years ago and had graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville in the days before he was killed. His family said he was working as a clerk as a gas station and hoping to become an engineer.
