JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A shooting Wednesday afternoon on Jacksonville's Westside left a woman dead in an apartment complex parking lot.
An anonymous 911 call that a shot was fired about 1:45 p.m. brought the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to the Ginger Park Apartments on Jammes Road.

Investigators said they have not be able to locate any witnesses but were still canvassing the area and were checking to see if any surveillance video was available.
Homicide Sgt. Dan Janson said the medical examiner would have to determine the woman's identity, but he described her as a black woman in her late 20s.
