GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – Police have arrested a grandmother after they said she held her grandchild hostage with a gun, early Wednesday morning.
Investigators said the standoff began at 3 a.m. as a dispute between family members. Just before 4 a.m., the woman went outside with a baby in her arms and fired a gunshot and then went back inside.

The four-week-old infant is her grandchild, according to police. She did not made any threats towards the baby.
The woman surrendered and was arrested around 8 a.m.
