CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. – A scammer is approaching business owners and claiming they are selling advertisements that will be published on a calendar featuring photographs and sponsorship by the Camden County Sheriff's Office, authorities said.
But there is no agreement for any published calendar featuring the Sheriff's Office, deputies posted on their Facebook page Wednesday.

According to the Sheriff's Office, there have also been requests for advertisement support for local fire departments, which are also scams.
"If you are requested to purchase advertising, we strongly suggest you contact the local authorities so the individual(s) can be investigated," Camden County Sheriff Jim Proctor said.
