The second crash disabled both cars involved.

The passenger riding with the man who ran the stop sign was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The driver of the second car the man crashed into was taken to Baptist Medical Center along with his 1-year-old child. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The crash closed all northbound traffic on St. Augustine Road from San Jose Boulevard to Via De La Reina Street.
