Firefighters extinguish St. Augustine brush fire

No injuries reported, officials say

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The St. Johns County Fire and Rescue Department responded to a brush fire in St. Augustine Monday afternoon.

Crews were called out to the area of Clay Street and located the fire burning in a transient camp in a wooded area.

The fire was put out by firefighters and the Florida Forest Service without incident.

There were no injuries, officials said. SJCFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
