ELKTON, Fla. – The St. Johns County Fire and Rescue Department responded to a house fire in Elkton Thursday night.
Firefighters were called around 10:30 p.m. to Las Flores Court in Coquina Crossing retirement community.

Fire officials said one person was transported to the hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.
It it unknown at this time how the fire started.
