Craft brewery scene growing in Springfield

Another gastropub in the works

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looks like the growing craft brewery scene in historic Springfield might grow again.

Plans are in the works to transform the old Henrietta’s Restaurant on Main Street into a micro brewery and gastropub. It’s going to be called 9th and Main, which by the way gives you an idea at which intersection you can enjoy a craft brew.

City council is going to go over plans to sell the property Tuesday night.

The site used to be home to an auto repair shop and gas station and that presents a problem because there’s petroleum that leaked into the groundwater and that has to be taken care of before all is said and done.
