FHP: Woman, 31, killed in head-on collision

Crash happened on Cecil Commerce Parkway just south of 103rd Street

Millions of travelers are hitting the roads for Thanksgiving travel.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman died Friday in a head-on collision on the Cecil Commerce Center Parkway about a mile south of 103rd Street on the city’s Westside, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Jacqueline Stout, 31, of Starke, was killed when she crashed head-on into Marlee Johnson, 30, of Middleburg, troopers said.

According to the crash report, Stout was driving north on Cecil Commerce Parkway at about 2:34 a.m. and tried to pass Adrianne Hamilton, 34, of Green Cove Springs. When Stout tried to pass, she crashed head-on into Johnson, troopers said. The impact forced Johnson’s car to spin and crash into Hamilton, troopers said.

Stout’s Kia Optima caught fire after the crash, troopers said.

Johnson suffered serious injuries in the crash, troopers said.

Hamilton and her three passengers suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
