Drugs, paraphernalia seized during traffic stop in St. Augustine Beach, police say

Alyssa Marie Clarke, 19, arrested on 10 separate drug charges

ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. – A woman was arrested and drugs and paraphernalia were seized during a traffic stop on Saturday, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department said.

Police said an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle using excessive speed on State Road 312. During that stop, the officer reported seeing items commonly used as drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

The driver, Alyssa Marie Clarke, 19, told police that her boyfriend might have a little bit of weed in the back of the car, to which a search of the vehicle was conducted, police said.

During the search, police reported finding LSD, 185 grams of marijuana, 1.2 grams of cocaine, Hydrocodone pills, codeine cough syrup, clear plastic bags consistent with drug packaging and sales, and five glass pipes and water bongs, police said.

Clarke was arrested on 10 separate drug-related charges and booked into the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Inmate Facility on $15,000 bail.
