Detectives: 3 accused of selling heroin arrested in undercover operation

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three people accused of selling heroin were arrested Friday night during an undercover drug operation, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Detectives conducted the operation in the area of Beach Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff.

Alexis Baker, 21 was arrested after selling heroin to an undercover detective for $100 in the Dick's Wings parking lot on Atlantic Boulevard, detectives said.

During the drug transaction, detectives noted three minors were in the back seat of Baker’s car, along with additional heroin and marijuana, according to the police report.

The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.

Baker was charged with child neglect, four counts of selling heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver and possession of marijuana.

Baker was released from the Duval County jail Monday morning after posting $40,765 bail.

Cynthia Heymen, 37, was arrested after detectives saw her give a small, folded piece of white paper to a woman and receive money in exchange, according to the police report.

During the transaction, the woman dropped the piece of folded paper on the ground. Detectives said there was a substance inside the paper that field-tested positive for heroin. The woman was taken into custody.

The money Heymen received from the woman fell from her purse as she was taken into custody, police said. 

Heymen was charged with one count of selling heroin. She was released Sunday morning on $7,500 bail.

Detectives arrested Zachary Wells, 36, after he sold heroin for $100 to an undercover detective in the Dick's Wings parking lot on Atlantic Boulevard, according to the police report.

Prior to the arrest, undercover detectives conducted three transactions with Wells in June, posing as drug users in the area of Beach Boulevard, police said.

Audio and video recordings were made of all three prior transactions, according to detectives.

Wells was charged with one count of selling heroin, police said.

He was booked into the Duval County jail on $7,500 bail.
