Defense: George Zimmerman bond hearing scheduled

Tentative date of June 29, according to Zimmerman's attorney

SANFORD, Fla. – The bond hearing for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has been tentatively scheduled for the end of the month.

Attorney Mark O'Mara told WKMG-TV that the second bond hearing for Zimmerman was tentatively set for June 29.

O'Mara had originally planned to file a motion for Zimmerman's second hearing on Monday, but delayed it in Judge Kenneth Lester's absence this week and also cited other scheduling conflicts.

Zimmerman arrived at the Seminole County jail Sunday after Lester revoked his bond two days earlier at a hearing concerning the release of more evidence. Under Lester's ruling, Zimmerman had to turn himself in by Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
