JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have a man in custody after two men were shot in the head and a woman was carjacked in Palatka early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Officers answering a shooting call near Bronson and 21st streets about 4:15 a.m. found a man who had been shot in the head, according to the Palatka Police Department.

Then, shortly before 6 a.m., a second man was shot in the head on North 23rd Street, a few blocks away from the original scene, department spokesman Capt. Matt Newcomb stated.
Both victims were taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where they’re listed in critical but stable condition, Newcomb said.
Following the second shooting, someone carjacked a woman near North 16th and Eagle Streets, commandeering her Ford Mustang and driving off.
The driver of the stolen Mustang struck another vehicle as he fled and led authorities on a while chase westbound on State Road 20 into Interlachen, Newcomb said.
Police said the pursuit came to an end when Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies threw out spike strips and the driver careened into the woods.
Authorities took the driver, Julius D. Bunch, into custody. They also recovered a gun from the vehicle that's believed to be stolen from St. Johns County.
Police said Bunch, 29, is a person of interest in the shootings. He was booked into the Putnam County jail on charges of carjacking, grand theft and fleeing and attempting to elude police.
