ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The St. Augustine woman who is a person of interest in her mother's death, has bonded out of the St. Johns County jail on unrelated weapons charges.
Lilly Ann Chavez, 39, posted $25,000 bond Sunday.
Chavez charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Her bond was originally set at $400,000, which her attorney said was not appropriate for the charges against her.
Deputies arrested Chavez (right) May 4 after detectives say they found nine guns in the home she shares with her boyfriend.
Chavez's mother, Barbara Parchem, went missing April 5 when she failed to show up for work. Her body was found 3 weeks later in a wooded area just south of the St. Johns, Flagler County border.
Because the warrant that led investigators to search Chavez home is sealed, it's not known if it was part of the homicide investigation, but a detective in the Parchem murder investigation took the stand to talk about what deputies found.
Chavez's daughter just wants to know who killed her grandmother.
"That's what I'm hoping to see, hoping to feel. The dragging out. The waiting...the waiting game is the hardest. The waiting game to find her now the waiting game for justice. That's the hardest part right now," Victoria Rawlings said.
