Jacksonville team helping with Obamacare enrollment

Floridians given extra 2 weeks to sign up due to Hurricane Irma

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Navigators with the Jacksonville Care Team will be on hand Friday to provide assistance for people signing up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

The team will at the Beaver Street Enterprise Center, ready to answer questions and
help you get what you need.  Although this is a one-time help day, this is not the last day for people in Florida to sign up.

Florida was given an extension due to Hurricane Irma. This means people have until Dec. 31 to sign up for coverage.

If you don't sign up by Friday, you will need to call the insurance exchange at 800-318-2596 to request the extension to Dec. 31. Help from a navigator is recommended for people requesting that extension.

On Friday, the Jacksonville Care Team will be at 1225 West Beaver Street from 7 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.
