Pedestrian killed in Northwest Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed while crossing Trout River Boulevard Tuesday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9:30 p.m. a car was driving eastbound on Trout River Boulevard when it hit a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway, near the Racetrack gas station service road.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

JSO said the man was wearing dark clothing in a dark area with no crosswalk at that location.

The driver remained at the scene. Neither the driver nor a passenger in the car was injured.
