JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 49-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Westside on Wednesday morning.
Gary Dunn was riding eastbound on Wilson Boulevard in the outside lane approaching a green light at the intersection of Interstate 295 about 6:30 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers said a car driven by 26-year-old Danielle Turpin was heading westbound on Wilson and slowed to try to make a left turn at the green light to the I-295 southbound entrance ramp.
Troopers said Turpin failed to see Dunn, and Dunn's motorcycle struck the front end of her car.
Dunn was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he died. Turpin was not hurt.
Troopers said charges are pending.
The entire intersection of Wilson and I-295 was blocked for about an hour.
