The Jaguars defensive end voided the final two years of his deal and will become a free agent.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Defensive end Jason Babin has decided to void the final two years of his contract with the Jaguars to become a free agent.

Babin started all 16 games last season for the Jaguars, finishing with 40 tackles, 7.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.

Babin will turn 34 this year and could return to the team at a lower price after hearing offers from other teams.

The decision by Babin gives the Jaguars an extra $6 million in cap space.
