New Daytona is more than a race track

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From the moment you step off the escalator at the renovated Daytona International Speedway, you feel like you've entered a new world.

"We were excited to get there and see all of the new renovations," said Jeff Stoker who's been attending Daytona for over two decades.

Fans who've been coming to Daytona for years, hardly recognize the place. If you get lost in any of the 11 neighborhoods on the concourse, there's an app that can help you find your way. There are also over 20 charging stations for your phone or tablet and the entire stadium features free WiFi.

Those are just a few of the new features at Daytona. The final tab for the Daytona Rising project was $400 million and the economical impact of the renovations is $1.6 billion.
