JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars signed 2014 second-round draft pick, wide receiver Allen Robinson, to a contract, the club announced today. Robinson was the second of the club's two second-round picks and is the eighth of the club's nine draft picks to sign a contract.

The 4-year deal could be worth up to $3.5 million, with a signing bonus of $873,000.

"Allen brings another element to our offense with his size and explosiveness with the ball in his hands," Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said. "Allen is extremely grounded, highly competitive and has a strong desire to improve. He will be ready to go for training camp in late July."

Robinson, 6-3, 220, played in 35 games with 24 starts for Penn State before declaring for the draft following his junior season. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in back-to-back seasons and was a two-time Big Ten Conference Receiver of the Year recipient. He finished his career with 177 receptions for 2,474 yards and 17 touchdowns, ranking second in school history for career receptions, third in receiving yards and fourth in touchdowns. Robinson was the first player since 1985 to lead the conference in receptions and receiving yards for consecutive seasons.

The Southfield, Michigan native totaled a school-record 97 catches for 1,432 yards and six touchdowns in 2013, becoming the first player in school history with multiple 60-catch seasons. His play earned him seven All-America honors including first-team All-America. He posted eight 100-yard receiving games and became only the third wide receiver in school history with three consecutive 100-yard receiving games.

Robinson attended Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory School where he led his team to the Michigan Division III state championship game as a senior. He finished with 44 catches for 720 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior and added two punt returns for touchdowns.
