A car dealership in the Biltmore neighborhood was burglarized on Tuesday night. Now, the owner is out of tens of thousands of dollars.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue put out a fire at a vacant home in Biltmore near the intersection of Old Kings Rd and Lane Ave.

More than five months after a man was found dead of a drug overdose at a home in Jacksonville’s Biltmore neighborhood, police have charged an accused drug dealer with manslaughter.

The Christobel Neighborhood Septic Tank Phaseout Program was overdue to be completed. Council voted on the money from the general fund and from JEA. The project would fulfill a promise made 60 years ago during consolidation to connect neighborhoods with sewer lines. Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has said his office is working to get an additional $6 million from the state legislature for the septic tank project.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was shot early Sunday morning in the Biltmore neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police said they responded shortly before 1:55 a.m. to Shenandoah Avenue, where they found a woman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police said the woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
