Then after the lights came back on, Turner threw a 25-yard TD to Wilson again with 3 seconds to play in the half. Wilson contributed another TD on a 1-yard run, and sophomore Angel Valdes put the final touches on with a 12-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. He had a 2-yard TD run in the first quarter to tie the game at 7 early.

"Outstanding game by both teams," Clay coach Josh Hoekstra said. Showers scored two TDs for Fleming Island: one on a 5-yard sweep and another on a 26-yard run. Bilal Ally also scored for Clay, diving into the end zone after a pass from Turner. Wilson scored a second TD on a 20-yard run in the third quarter.
