Daniel Lee, 47, had been scheduled to die by lethal injection on Monday at a federal prison in Indiana. The court order applies only to Lees execution and does not halt two other executions that are scheduled for later next week. The federal prisons system has struggled in recent months to stem the exploding coronavirus pandemic behind bars.

In 1994, at the TPC at Sawgrass in Florida, he became the youngest-ever winner of the U.S. Amateur Championship, a record he held until 2008 when it was broken by Danny Lee.
