Then-Athletic Director Joe Alleva's recommendation to former LSU President F. King Alexander is detailed in a newly released report into how the university handled sexual misconduct complaints. AdEarlier in the day, LSU released a law firm's 148-page review of how the university has handled sexual misconduct complaints. The report offers a scathing view of the resources and attention LSU has dedicated to complaints of sexual misconduct and violence against women campus-wide. Schneider found that LSU leadership “responded in a lackluster fashion” when officials who handled Title IX compliance requested more resources. Victims are “understandably reluctant to participate in the Title IX process because they fear community backlash,” Schneider said.

So we can complain about this and this and that but, listen, we’re still getting to play football,” Fisher said. Last week, 15 FBS games were called off because of COVID-19, the most yet this season. Major college football conferences have been tweaking policies to provide their schools flexibility to schedule games on short notice. That probably won't work for LSU-Alabama, which was among four SEC games postponed last week. __Follow Ralph D. – LSU coach Ed Orgeron says his team is contending with a corona virus outbreak and resulting quarantines that have made it difficult to know whether a number of starters or regulars will be available for Saturday's scheduled game against No. “We're talking to the doctors right now to see what's the best for Myles,” Orgeron said during his usual Monday-of-game-week media conference. The number of related quarantines due to possible exposure also have thinned his roster in recent days, he said. The SEC requires teams to have at least 53 scholarship players available, less than that and the scheduled game cannot be played. By the middle of the week, LSU expects to know if the game could still be held this weekend as scheduled, Orgeron said.

Most of LSU's football players have contracted and recovered from COVID-19, coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday, leaving the coaching staff hopeful those players will remain eligible to play the bulk of the season before they have to be tested again. “I think, not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it,” Orgeron said during a video conference, adding later that he did not know the percentage of the roster that had tested positive. “So we look at the players that have caught it and say, ‘OK these guys should be eligible,’" Orgeron continued. So we’re looking at our roster in that manner.”Orgeron did not go into detail about whether any LSU players who tested positive have experienced symptoms. LSU officials have declined to make public precise counts or even percentages of players who have tested positive for antibodies or the disease itself.
