(AP Photo)LOS ANGELES A brand new life is ahead for the vintage sitcom "Who's the Boss? and its devoted fans. Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are set to reprise their father-daughter roles for a sequel that's in the works at Sony Pictures Television, the studio said Tuesday. The original series created by Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter ran from 1984 to 1992 and was a hit for ABC, if not a critical darling. Veteran producer Norman Lear, part of the remake of his original series One Day at a Time, is among the Who's the Boss? producers, as are Danza and Milano.

A new trailer for Ryan Murphy's upcoming Netflix series, The Politician, premiered during the Emmy Awards on Sunday, giving fans a first look at Bette Midler and Judith Light's characters. Midler and Light play Hadassah Gold and Dede Standish, respectively, in the upcoming series. On The Politician, Platt plays Payton Hobart, "a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, who has known since age seven that he's going to be President of the United States." Before You Know It follows Rachel Gurner (Hannah Pearl Utt), who still lives in her childhood home with her actress sister, Jackie (Jen Tullock) and their eccentric playwright father (Mandy Patinkin). But their day-to-day dysfunction gets even more dramatic when the sisters find out their presumed-deceased mother is not only alive but thriving as a daytime soap actress. When Rachel and Jackie visit the set and confront their mother, the entire family must try to come of age. Before You Know It was written by Utt and Tullock and directed by the former.

Amazon's 'Transparent' is ready to say goodbye with a musical finale. (CNN) - "Transparent" is saying goodbye to Maura with a musical celebration. Tambor had played Maura Pfefferman, a transgender woman who comes out to her wife and children. "This musical finale is more about going out in celebration and isn't that the key to freedom?" The "Transparent" finale will be available for streaming on September 27.
